So, I got all this; a new GPS, a finely made chefs knife, a really nice egg poaching pan, a quality French press, and a pen (with a talking clock, alarm, and memo recorder) to replace the one my most evil daughter callously broke. I was very delighted, in the middle of a very happy Christmas morning. Then I went upstairs to fix the bathroom door after one of my wicked grandchildren knocked it off its hinges - when I returned, there was a guitar case at my seat . . . my youngest son had immediately moved to the top position as my favorite child. I had come to terms, at 60, with the reality that I was never going to have a Fender Startocaster - but, Benny made me one . . . he collected a Strat body, then a Strat neck, bought pickups & switches and I have a Fender Strat that my son built for me! Best Christmas gift ever (and Benny got me a beautiful resonator a couple of years ago). BUT then . . . Mickey Jr & Jill, who couldnt be with us as hes living in Montreal going for his Masters Degree in Theology, called to say Merry Christmas to everyone. After hearing Merry Christmas, he tells me to go out in the backyard for a surprise - and there he and Jill are walking up the path to our backdoor! They drove 8 hours to be with us all - best Christmas gift ever!
