So I got asked the other day if carbs were bad after dark (or like 6pm). The answer is no! The reason why diets say not to eat carbs at a certain time is because of two main reasons: 1) Because you have already eating the recommended daily intake through your previous meals 2) Because after this time you do very little exercise (excess carb ingestion not being utilized therfore being stored as fat). This is what they claim but for me, I sometimes train at midnight so I dont know about this. What it comes down to is timing your meals so you can eat throughout the day. Because the fact of the matter is, if you eat more carbs than you need, you will put on weight and/or fat. So plan your day so you can eat carbs at every meal and supplement your workout effectively for the best results.
