So... I got the results of my thyroid test today from last week. I have to back up to my doctor appointment a week ago, when I was having so much fun bantering back and forth with my new doctor, first. She couldnt feel a goiter in my neck (this happens when your thyroid gland swells because its trying to kick out more hormones and cant) so I think she was a little doubtful about my levels being very far off from where they should be. A normal, functioning thyroid would be at about a 2 or under. The higher the number, the more underactive (worse) your thyroid is. If your test comes out at 15 to 20, I will start you on a higher dosage to get you going good again, she told me at my appointment. Well... she called me today with the results of my test. She started out with, You poor girl... I waited. What is it? I finally asked. Two hundred and thirteen, she said. No wonder Ive felt like pure and total crap. LOL!
