So.... I got to explain 9/11 to my six year old today when he asked why all the flags were "lower". It is so sad that I had to struggle with my words because I just do not buy the narrative of what we have been told about that day. In the end I told him that bad people flew planes into buildings and over 3,700 people died that day. We then talked a lot about our flag. What it means, protocol and what it can communicate to us when in different positions . When I homeschooled the girls, these conversations were so much easier.
