So I had a thought while riding home today.... Every year, thousands of MAMILs gather in Melbournes parklands in the early morning gloom on a Sunday in mid-October. They gather to commence their annual mass migration down the coast in the event known as the Around the Bay In a Day. Sure... I guess they do go around the bay rather loosely, but has anyone tried doing it properly - fat bike style? Im under no illusions about riding the entire coastline, but Im kind of intrigued about how much is possible. So, before Ive even looked at a map - can anyone find any serious flaws in my idea? A few challenges that immediately come to mind.... - RAAF base in Point Cook - Refinery in Geelong - Timing the ferry at the heads - The cliffs around Mt Martha - And of course... tides! - And.. err.. its going to be a REALLY long ride
