So I had a very traumatizing moment in my life a few nights ago. We found Poddles, my young Fahaka puffer, on the bar. He was fully puffed. No telling how long he had been there. I was certain he was dead. I screamed like a banshee and gave my husband a heart attack, then began to cry hysterically. Suddenly Poddles deflated began to flop, causing me to freak out further, but we realized he was alive. I scooped him up and put him back in his tank. Hes 100% fine, swimming happily, eating ravenously, and giving me his little puffer eyes. I was such a wreck after discovering him like that, that I considered giving him up and selling this tank, because my fear of sea monsters began to haunt me again. (Look, it wouldnt be an irrational fear if it was rational.) But I realized that I couldnt give up on him just because he almost died on me and I have an innate fear of his brethren. Needless to say, my husband is building a VERY secure hood for his tank now.
