So I had an exsperience that left me slightly confused today and after thinking about it for a bit I think I should share it. I was at a convention in my new working Gypsy outfit and had finally gotten a quiet moment to take a good look at a pendant I saw and was thinking about buying. I had seen it while it was supper busy but it was so crowded I couldnt get a good look at its quality. While talking to the owner of the booth I mentioned that yes there is a chance I might be part Roma. The next thing I knew I was (moderately) politely being pushed out of her booth! With her saying that as a Londoner she doesnt allow that breed. Well once I finally put the pieces of the convo together I realized she was showing racism. Why am I sharing this? Because she lost a sale. She allowed judgement and race to stop a customer. As sales people we need to remember to set aside judgements.
