So I had the most amazing morning. Beautiful walk to the park. Lovely time with my daughter. I met an old man, and we struck up conversation. We sat and sipped coffee and cried together as I listened to him tell me the story of his life taking care of his wonderful wife of 57 years now stricken with Alzheimers. She is currently visiting their daughter and he was worried. He held my hand and shed tears speaking of undying love. He told me of their little farm in Ohio, their two beautiful daughters. He told me the story of getting through losing their son at 22 due to heart problems. He told me of the small school they worked at teaching, driving the bus, and being mentors. He told me life has been good. He told me he was scared. I hugged him as we left and he thanked me, for bringing joy to his day. He asked me to bring the baby back to meet his wife, that he brought her to the park every morning and he thinks Delaney would make her smile. Will do Lou, will do. Thankyou sir, you dont know what warming my heart did for me today.
