So I hardly ever post but, today was the first day of Kindergarten for my Abbs (Abigail) and we went down to class with her (today girls go w/out the boys) and the teacher was telling her that she could do anything she wanted to do at any of the little stations. The table with the play dough had every little girl at it but, my little miss went to the table to start coloring and drawing pictures (alone) and she just sat right down and started drawing pictures and folding them up. I waited, concerned that maybe she felt that she didnt belong, left out, etc. and thats when I realized what she was doing. She was making a picture for each of the students and the teacher because she didnt want them to feel anxious or sad (or she told me when she was telling me to please go Mama) because today was their first day of school! I was so proud that I have a baby girl that doesnt feel like she has to follow along with everyone else but has a heart to want to reach out to them to make them feel loved and special. I hope she carries this with her for the rest of her life! I want to raise a strong, independent woman before the Lord! I want a leader not a follower! Sorry - mommies have to brag from time to time
