So, I have a lot of updates for you all! Im sorry I havent updated about Eliana since Sunday. *Eliana is 53 days old! *She weighs a whopping 3lbs 7.3oz! *We found out why shes been super fussy... she has another UTI. They are treating her with antibiotics. *Her blood work showed that she needed another blood transfusion... not to mention her oxygen requirement went from 28% to 41% in just a few days. They gave her the transfusion yesterday and her O2 requirement is back down to 25% and could actually stand to be a little bit lower. :) *Because her intestines looked a little dilated (because of the infection), they stopped her feeds again. She will hopefully be able to have her milk again tomorrow. They currently have her on TPN & Lipids. *We have still not heard anything from Boston regarding a second opinion. Waiting is so hard! *I called a few other hospitals around the nation and will be sending her medical records out today. Hopefully we will hear back from them all this week! And hopefully we will be in another hospital by this time next week! *Last night I spoke with a Trisomy 18 friendly surgeon from St.Louis. He was so sweet to call me after work hours. He was so friendly! I truly hope & pray he will take a chance and perform the surgery she most desperately needs.
