So I have a question for you guys. Im sure youve all seen the trailer for American Sniper. I mean theyve been playing it for weeks. Do any of you have a reaction to the previews? I ask, because I as a spouse seriously get emotional at just the previews. Im not a crying ball of mush or anything... it just gets to me. When Lone Survivor came out my husband was in Afghanistan. This was by no means our first deployment, so I knew better than to try and watch it while he was gone, but part of me felt at some point that I should see it. Now keep in mind, my husband isnt a Navy Seal..hes not in the Navy..hes Army. So, I knew going in obviously not gonna be exactly what my husband went through. Theres this part of me that feels like I NEED to see these movies. I NEED to understand what they all went though.So I watched it after he got home and was genuinely messed up for like 3 days. Id just start crying at random. I cried because of the danger my husband was in or could have been in. I cried for the guys that didnt make it home, for their families, and for the ones that made it home and were struggling. I was a mess. I hurt because of this movie, but I dont regret seeing it. Then I feel like a big baby, because I wasnt there. I didnt get shot at. Does any of this make sense? So now.. American Sniper is coming out. I want to see this movie for so many reasons and to be honest.. doesnt hurt one bit that I think Bradley Cooper is smokin. Ive always said you can take an average dude stick him in a uniform and instantly hotter... Bradley Cooper in one... mmm. Anyway, so I see these previews and seriously get teared up. As much as I want to see it.. I know seeing it in the theater is out of the question. Im gonna be a hot mess. So maybe my question isnt does anyone else have a reaction to the previews, but do you all feel the same way about these type movies and how do you deal with it? Thanks guys, ~Jess
