So I have a strange habit, and some of you may find this - TopicsExpress

So I have a strange habit, and some of you may find this interesting. And Ive even been criticized for my habit.. but its been the same for YEAAARS. Whenever a movie or a game comes out that Im absolutely fascinated for, I study EVERYTHING about it.. the creators/actors, the time period, where the idea started if its something thats been growing over time. The influences of the project, other media that influenced its creation. I love watching behind the scenes and to just LEARN about the minds, talent, and creatives that brought this to life... because to me.. I think its interesting as all hell. Ive done it for things like, Band of Brothers, MAFIA, Red Dead Redemption, pretty much every horror movie... just to name a small fraction. The criticism comes from people saying.. Oh well, now youre ruining it for yourself Absolutely not.. Youre learning about the production and all its connections.. seeing various bits and pieces of creative media, and possibly portions of gameplay (that Ill probably FORGET in a couple weeks) does not ruin the experience for me. These companies know what their doing, theyre not going to deliberately SPOIL a game theyve worked 3 years on. In particular, I am speaking about Alien: Isolation and most of all, The Evil Within. Shinji Mikami (the Father of Survival Horror) had me excited beyond anything with the first Resident Evil. And while everything he did after was cool. I just think, from what Ive been seeing from Evil Within thus far, and hearing from Game Informer specifically about the first 5 Chapters.. is that hes gonna surprise people and up the ante on the horror genre one last time before he takes his leave. Think of a game where you have a mixture of Silent Hill, Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Ju-On, Saw, Fatal Frame, Night of the Living Dead... ...you get where Im going. They are saying that Shinji Mikami has been trying to implement aspects from all flavors of horror, into one game. Painstakingly balanced to where its ALL fun to play. According to Game Informer... he has succeeded. I guess well all see soon! ....But for now, there are TWO Behind The Scenes videos for The Evil Within. This one listed here: Inside The Mind of Shinji Mikami https://youtube/watch?v=vJ3r7WUE4kw&list=UUvZHe-SP3xC7DdOk4Ri8QBw
