So I have a test I gotta do on Monday for the training I applied for that takes place in October for a month through Northern industrial training (NITalaska) for (HSET) Health safety environmental technician its a $5,000 program but if I get approved the grant will take of it I hope I get this, training last for a month it looks fun, but if not this one I really wanted to go for the roustabout training but its not til December their are so many apprenticeship programs and other learn and earn programs and resources out there too its ridiculous Id be happy to share most of them you just have to be a 12+ month resident, 18+ yrs of age, GED/diploma some require being able to get one and they give certain amount of time well in the program, AKDL or able to obtain one, most of them are through unions all in the construction, electrical, plumbing, slope jobs, ETC.... some even provide room and board for those not living in town, these be good for any of the kids out of high school that interested including the girls highly encouraged anyone want to find out more you can check out this site AKWP.org which is affiliated with aatca.org (The Alaska Apprenticeship Training Coordinators Association) or Center for Employment Education (CEE) is Alaskas Industry Leader in Commercial Driver & Hazardous Materials Training CEE-ak.net so I thought Id just share this info thanks to friends and citc and a lot of researching
