So I have asked this question before and obody has a definitive answer but just in case some of more recent likers have new information... At the moment I deliver in person to around twenty galleries twice a year all around the country. As a not confident driver this entails my husband (fortunately self employed and very biddable) to chauffeur me. We treat these jaunts as minibreaks which has worked til now. Since moving to Scotland, clearly the deliveries down South are quite epic journeys and I was wondering if any of you out there have better solutions to this logistical prpblem. Working on a sale or return basis there is usually some sort of problem solving re latest payments and items lost in the stock room (though most galleries are pretty good on the day) whichmeans being oresent in person has its advantages as well as helping maintain a good rapport with each gallery. I have thought about doing one mega journey and hiring a van but this would require a huge investment in frames and mean I cant stagger the making of work. Postal seems expensive, although perhaps not in light of hotels and tasty meals. Even if I deliver by post....what about the returns? Long one I know but any thoughts? Also overseas postings???
