So, I have been having a few Laptop problems that are covered under my warranty. I decided to call Dell yesterday and see if they could fix it. they couldnt fix problems 1 and 2 so i moved to 3 hoping to have them fix my wireless card. They take over my computer to try and diagnose the problem, when he sees that he cant right away he begins to download programs to do what he needs (without my permission). As im watching this i notice he clearly download at least 2-3 malicious programs and I ask him what hes doing. His response is that hes getting the programs he needs to diagnose the problem. As its too late I let him finish what hes doing and he does nothing close to what my problem was and says is there anything else I can help you with? I tell him to take everything off of my computer that he put on, he proceeds to do so. About halfway through he notices he cant get two of the programs off the normal uninstall rout so does something that I couldnt follow and the programs are gone. He says they are gone and thats it. I run a virus scan and immediately have 2 trojans and 20+malware and adware. I angrily work to resolve the problem and called dell back. They decided to transfer me to there software department who says they will have to charge me 129$ to fix the problem. I tell them thats not going to happen and they need to fix my computer. A guy works for about an hour trying to fix my now fried browser and says hes running a program that will take about an hour to finish and once its done everything should be ok but if not to email them. Well it didnt fully work and I emailed them. They said they dont go to any unapproved sites and if i want to continue I need to pay 129$ for there software support. Come monday I will be out for blood.
