So... I have been out on my Jungle trek, it was proper bob on. I set off with my pal who is experienced in such things and is a bit of Bear Grylls, but proper...we trecked across open areas, jungle areas, through small villages where everyone shouted and waved, the kids ran out and shouted Aporto which is their word for white people, and it really was a novelty to see white people in such remote areas... No one asked us for a single penny, including the lady with a bowl on her head and a small child, who led us through the rivers and mud flats safely, she was about to walk away with a cheery wave when we weighed her in, her family will dine well for some time, she was a real good egg. What a lovely bunch of friendly people my Sierra Leone brothers and sisters are, the world could learn a big lesson from these folk.
