So I have been thinking a lot lately about how others perceive our actions and how often believers do not behave as though they follow Jesus. A couple weeks ago on a Wednesday night I had a van come up on my tail end flying as I went down a winding curvy road. This van stayed right up on me and began to flash his lights and cut out over the double yellow. Over and over he did this, as I proceeded to do the speed limit. At one point this van attempted to pass me in a no passing zone during a turn and almost ran me off the road! I held my spot and he ended up staying behind me. So I get to my road and lo and behold this person turned into the church across from my road to which Doug says STOP THE CAR! Being the good submissive wife I am, (HA) I stopped and Doug got out and yelled at the man, Was that your most Christian like behavior? Would Jesus run a family off the road to get to church on time? This person did not stop but went on in the church as though we were not even there. I tell you all of this to make a point. We saw his behavior and actions just as anyone else on that road would have, more importantly God saw what this man did in his efforts to get to church on time. There is NEVER a time when our Father in Heaven cannot see us. He sees us when we are in the car, experiencing road rage, or trying to run someone off the road. He sees us when we speak ill of others under our breath and He hears our curses when we hate on others in our minds. He saw it when Doug was angry and yelled, just as He saw this man attempt to run us off the road. In short, I hope all of us will remember we are never alone and God is always there. He sees even our darkest thoughts and actions and no matter how much we ignore the people we offend, God still knows the truth. Please remember Whatsoever we do to the least of these we do to God also! I am guessing one day this righteous man who tried to run my family off the road to get to church on time will be asked why he was in such a hurry he could not even apologize for behaving so poorly. Behave as though you love God at all times, not just when your fellow church members are watching! Love one another and try to make sure your actions towards others reflect that love. I love you guys, have a great day, and make sure you rejoice in this day the Lord has made.
