So I have decided that I am going to post one positive thing every single day. My reason for this is that over the last few weeks I find myself having conversations where I am complaining. I had a bad day at work, or a flat tire.. etc. So Im going to change that. Many of you know that lately I have been complaining about work. Ive been feeling stressed with making this job shift, missing everyone there, and just the overall change in my daily life. When all is said and done I love my job.. My afternoon kids have been known to test my patience at times and then out of the blue we have a day like today. I took on the task of deciding Tie dye would be a good way to say goodbye to my time there with them. Little did I know how much work actually goes into tie dying for 20+ students. Getting everything set up, organized, getting the kids all dressed in their gear to make sure that they dont get dye on school uniforms and then actually doing the dying process. I think I started at around 430 and we finished with the last kid for the day at 545. Having dyed 15 items. Thats roughly prepping, wetting shirts, tying, dyinging, wrapping, tagging and baging...spending 5 minutes a student. Thats a lot of work...and then add in 80 degree weather lol. I am extremely greatful to the teachers AND parents/grandparents that stepped in to help their child dye, tag or clean up.. it was extremely helpful and I appreciated it. I had a GREAT time with the kids...and I cant wait to see them in them! My positive post for Wednesday August 27th. Tye Dyeing with a bunch of wacky kids! Love them. How I wish I had been able to take pictures..truly a fast paced, yet fun day..
