So, I have issues with Kayla. She is super mouthy... the mouthiest kid I have ever seen... ever....(not joking) I understand she is going to have good and bad days with all the meds and head issues, but I am tired of her total switch to brat if she isnt spoiled and actually has to do something. Today is a school day. She is expected to do school which she does perfectly, if she is not running her mouth. When her mouth gets running and she refuses to look at me, I grab the bottom of her face to turn her head to look at me, because I am very big on eye contact when we are talking especially when she is not minding, and she acts like I am breaking her face or something.... seriously... I do not grab her face hard at all, not even a little bit... there is no red marks or finger indents nothing, when I let go... and if she keeps yapping, I will seriously take a single finger, put it to her lips, or tap her on the lips, and say shhh, and she acts as though I just hit her in the face, and says I hate it when you hit me.... if she is spinning in her chair, I will grab her arm or leg to stop her, and even that is only hard enough to stop a computer chair from moving, and is not hard in anyway, but she freaks like I just beat the crap out of her... and she also plays this pity party especially to grandmas, that she is spanked and hit allllllll the time.... I do not spank hardly ever, and if I do, it is usually because they did something life threatening... Either way, she acts like I abuse her, and Im sick of it... I am not going to spoil her and kiss her butt 24/7 like she wants, but apparently if I even touch her, I am abusing her so I dont know what to do. Talking sensibly does NOT get through to her at all, not even a little bit. I have tried and tried to just talk to her about what the expectations are of her, and she will play like she understands and will do it, but then in the next few minutes refuse to do whatever she is supposed to.... any ideas mamas on what else I can try? I am seriously at a loss and tired of hearing how its just because of her age. Thanks!
