So I have noticed quite a few fb posts lately stating the same thing. That the poster is going to be cleaning up their fb friends list and asks anyone who wants to remain a friend to post a comment. First of all, does anyone really know all their fb friends in real life? Well, I do know a couple of people who do but those are the exception. Secondly, I may read posts but I dont have the time to comment on all of them and if I dont like a post, I am not going to hit like. Third, if you are upset that your fb friends dont check up on you or read your posts or bother to say hello, then fb may not be the right place for you. You cannot have your feelings hurt by fb friendships. Now I have met people on fb that I adore but have never met and probably never will meet in my real life. However, if this person or persons decide to unfriend me tomorrow, I would probably (a) not notice (b) not hold a grudge. I may be perplexed but certainly not be angry and (c) I never expect my fb friends to check in on me or make it a point to pm me to say hello from time to time. I just assume people are busy like me and have a life to attend to that is far more important than me. Lastly, what is the point of making a post like that in the first place? I dont like feeling that I am being weighed in to see if I am worthy to stay on someones friends list. If thats the case, I would rather just be unfriended. Just saying.
