So I have this goat Im doctoring in my yard. She is not in the field where she belongs so I have to tie her up to keep her out of the flowers, out of the shed, etc. Yesterday, I went out to check on her and she is all tangled up, the rope wrapped around a low limb and she can barely move. Im trying to untie/untangle the rope and she is doing her best to get away, pulling the limb and slapping me in the face. I keep telling her to be still and holding the rope/limb so I can work on it. Suddenly, I realize, she is a lot like me! I get tangled up in work, finances, the world, even family& church until I cant move. God is telling me Be still and know that I am God but I keep pulling and struggling, trying to get out myself when all along, God is up there trying to untangle the mess Ive gotten into. I just cant see it. I am not where I belong. Im only a stranger and a pilgrim passing thru. When I reach my destination, I wont have all this rope on me and Ill be free. Meanwhile, Ive got to be patient and wait on God to tell me when to move.
