So, I have worked in the wireless industry for years. I have my own weird way of doing things that often times work, sometimes they dont. My dad brought up to me the other day, as he is getting on in years, that he would help me get a business loan, as he has around 140k in the bank, and would like to do something to make a family business. Im wondering how to branch out on my own, and look for potential wireless stores or Franchises to purchase for myself after Christmas. The only reason I havent set out on my own so far, or taken a job at a Corperate location is because I have a lot of loyalty and respect for Dave, who has been a fantastic mentor and a sort of business partner, including me with the day to day of the Franchises he owns. Im torn on breaching this subject with him, because I dont want to make it seem like Im stabbing anyone in the back. But I would like to buy my own place full out, and make my own footprints in the world. Myself and my father have been looking at multiple small business loans however, and to be honest, I am really liking what I have now, its family, and more importantly Ive had the oppertunity to offer Wayne a chance to have gainful employement. This has been eating at me for a while, ever since I turned down an offer for a senior sales associate with Verizon Corp earlier this year. I never brought that up either, as to me a friend doesnt say. I had this oppertunity and I turned it down because its poor form to hold that up, nor am I bitter over it, because I know I can get references from a ton of people about the integrity, honesty and sales techniques I have developed over the years to any business. Im at a crossroad, and I just dont know which way to go. All I know for certain is, Im back, and Im going to kick ass this Christmas season and push as hard as I can to make the business that I am the best it can be for the season, and than evaluate.
