So... I just found out that Resiniferatoxin exists... it is related to capsaicin, yet found in a cactus. Capsaicin, for those who do not know, is the chemical that makes chilli peppers spicy. Spicines is rated in scoville units, tabasco sauce is rated 5000 scovils, jalapeno peppers are 7000, green chillies are about 100,000. habaneros 300-500,000, and the worlds hottest peppers, the ghost chilli/bhut jolokia at 800,000 to 1 million, the Trinidad moruga scorpion, at 900,000 to 1.2 million, and the Carolina Reaper, at 1.5 to 2.2 million... Capsaicin, rates at 16 million. Resiniferatoxin, rates at 16 Billion. Thats three extra zeros. Ive had pure capsaicin, and just a few flakes, half of the little plastic bit on the end of a bobby pin. could turn a pot of soup into pure death, dribbling nose, tears, sweat, numb lips, and a pain that no amount of milk will ever soothe. It was great. But, Now I must find some Resiniferatoxin, I need to have some in my spice cabinet, I will regret it, many times, very much, but I need to get some.
