So I just hired a new administrative assistant last week and one of the first things I tasked her to do was make hotel reservations for me in San Antonio for client meetings and hearings I have today and tomorrow morning. As I drive up to the hotel (a La Quinta), I called her to get info. The following exchange occurred: Me: Is the reservation under my name or the firm card? Her: Yours. Me: Im kinda a hotel snob, so feel free to use my personal card and I can pay myself and not expense it. Her: I figured, but this La Quinta has a fridge and microwave in the room, has a huge workout room with arc trainers and stair climbers for you to do your fasted cardio in the morning, is 1 mile from your first client meeting today, 2 miles from your second meeting, and 3 miles to the Courthouse. Me: Oh, ok... Her: And there is an LA Fitness 1/4 mile down the road so you can train tonight. I saw your key chain and knew you were a member. Me: But, howd you even... Her: My ex competed. Do you know how many hotels Ive searched that have fridges and microwaves? Dont even ask how many grilled tilapias Ive made. Me: Youre amazing. Yup, this relationship is off to an amazing start. ❤️💪💼
