So, I just returned home from seeing my surgeon for tomorrows surgery! Now I know just WHY he waited until the day before surgery to provide me with the details of what he was going to do to me and the ramifications of such! Have to be at hospital at 6am! What was to be a 3 hour surgery has now turned into a 5 hour surgery and will actually consist of 2 separate massively intricate surgeries, one involving the jaw and one involving the ear, onto which there is deteriorating bone to bone contact from a fall which broke my jaw 4 years ago, gone undetected! If that werent bad enough, he then described the results to be expected, which include elephant man swelling of the entire right side of my face, and paralysis for an unknown amount of time, OMG! I wont even get into the list of things that can go wrong because of the surgery involving the rebuilding of such tiny parts of the human face/jaw/ear canal. Months of facial/jaw physical therapy, after a time of healing follows that . Needless to say I am now sufficiently terrified and knowing I am facing all this, while living all alone and with no family supports, just puts me into a real horrid state. On top of ALL that, I am still responsible for physically caring for the rescued ferals in cages, that I have been unable to find a soul to help with. Loving my life right now big time. Nightmare beyond words!
