So I just want to take a second and share what is on my heart. - TopicsExpress

So I just want to take a second and share what is on my heart. This past week I was contacted by a writer of Crossfit HQ to do an interview for the crossfit games website. I cannot even express how humbled and honored I was to be selected to be interviewed... yesterday the article was posted, and it made a good story.. a good crossfit story.. a story that might get some people fired up for the the crossfit open and regionals.. a story that might inspire some to test and push their physical limitations to a higher level.. and that is great,. I hope my story does inspire others to always give their very best, not only in sport of fitness, but in every area of their lives.. but the story that I had hoped would be published, was the motivation that drives me to give it all that I have every time that I step into the gym, and that is Jesus Christ; the rock and foundation of my life.. I have fell in love with crossfit, and the competitive aspect that it brings, but it is Christ Jesus that brings me a joy that crossfit could never fulfill.. By His grace, he allows me to wake up every day and do something that I love, and I will never take that granted.. He deserves all of the credit for any success that I have had, and any success that I may have in the future. Crossfit is a part of my everyday life, but it is temporary; I won’t always be able to participate at such high intensity/competitive level; but when I am done, what I will still be left with is my strongest supporter, my foundation, my redeemer; my relationship with Jesus Christ.. my goal is to further his kingdom (eternal value)… My brother in Christ, Aaron Johnson said it best, “no WOD or competition can break us as believers in Christ. There is more to all this. Because we lean on the strongest support system in the world: Jesus Christ.” To end this very long post I would like to end with this verse out of Romans: “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 That is my motivation, and I will end with that!!!
