So I just wonder why the company has not strived to make policy - TopicsExpress

So I just wonder why the company has not strived to make policy changes for their employees when it comes to crew change day..... For example, on crew change day, which counts as day 1 of your 14th day, is spent mostly on the boat waiting to get off and in the crew van BC of some various reason why the crew van or the replacements couldnt get there earlier, and its 4 P.M. when you finally get off the boat.... So by the time that someone gets home (8 hrs of traveling in crew van BC you are down in the hole) youve basically not even had a day 1.... Then on day 14, the company wants you headed out back on the boat at 6 or 7 A.M. so there foes your 14th day.... All in all, the workers really get just 12 active days off the boat every 28 to w/e days on.... Wonder why after all these years of Marquette being an active company, why this issue has not been improved. To some, those two extra reasonably home spent days mean the world! Any thoughts?? Are all companies like this? Just curious....
