So I know this guy, he is one of the most staunch democrats I have ever met. He is in the process of building a house and complaining about all the money he has to pay to out for fees, taxes, regulations, etc. He is really fired up about how insane it is that a contractor would start a business to build homes and actually want to make a profit. He is disgusted with how many people are dipping into the pot taking his money to complete the necessary paperwork, permits, and building. Most of all he is appalled at how the Republican Party made this all possible. I agree!!! I personally am always disgusted when someone starts a business and asks for enough money to pay their employees, pay for insurances, supplies and even a little more to take home so they can pay their bills to keep a roof over their families heads and food in their stomachs. How dare they want to have some money in the bank to take a vacation, or build a house of their own, or maybe even have a reliable vehicle to get to and from work. HORRIBLE!!! All of this money SHOULD be funneled back into the government so that they can distribute it how they see fit. After all it was the last republican presidential candidate that said we should “spread the wealth”…ohhh crap, my bad, that was the democrat in there now…scratch that point. Well then I agree that it is ridiculous that all these different government agencies get to charge for building permits, especially all of the newer ones that cost more because of the stricter regulations being enforced. ASSININE!!! We all know that the republican party always preaches for bigger government and even more regulation…if it wasn’t for the damn republican party we would have a smaller government with less regulation making it much more affordable for the middle class to be able to build a house of their own…what?...Oh wait, you mean that is what the democrats encourage?...damnit..ummm…ignore the last point I just made. Well at least I can agree with him that it would have saved a bunch of money if the taxes weren’t so high, I mean, EVERYONE knows that the republicans are always responsible for demanding higher taxes…I’m wrong again?…you mean that’s the dems too?…man!!! Well then I guess he is getting everything that he voted for. That is the bad thing I guess, sometimes in life we get exactly what we ask for. I guess one positive for him is that he wasn’t forced to hire a union contractor. Imagine how much more expensive it would have been if he would have supported his “beliefs” and paid for rated labor. It’s amazing how much the kool-aid will hypnotize you until the reality of what is hiding in the pitcher comes up and hurts you personally. More support that the only thing that we can be certain that the democrats got right was when they decided to symbolize themselves with a jackass.
