So I learned a very important lesson today. I went to start my car, and the car wouldnt turn over. It was trying... but it was weak... so i thought, bad battery... I had that happen a few times before but on the second or third try it would start right up. So I kept trying. It didnt work. Then I looked at the Battery - which appeared to have SOME water but not much... I started adding water and the thing ended up taking 1/4 gallon! Still the car wouldnt start though.... I did get a jump for it and it started, drove it around for an hour so the alternator could charge it.... then the next time I had to start it it was weak again.... :/ The lesson I learned as I was going through it, (God was just showing me stuff and speaking to me in that situation). Its important to take in enough WATER. Living water. He is the Living water. We need to drink of the Holy Spirit, and make sure our battery cells dont go dry. Even when we THINK we have enough water, unless we are OVERFLOWING it may be that we are more empty than we thought. Its always a great idea to fill up to overflowing! Not having enough water (Physically OR Spiritually) results in running us down, over and over. Shortening our lifespan. We could live forever in the presence of the Lord... Enoch is.... Elijah is... hmmm... Drink of Him. Also, we need to take the time to REST and RECHARGE our batteries!! We need to (and by WE I mean ME, and if it blesses you then you also) we need to take the time to get in His presence in worship and allow Him to charge our batteries. Just like my car needed a new battery to run properly today and not leave me stranded, sometimes we need to ENSURE our own batteries are not running low or wearing out so WE dont leave ourselves stranded. Its easy enough to get a new battery, (and sometimes we will need that) but its even better to just take care of ourselves from the start. How to recharge your Spiritual Battery: DRINK OF GOD. Spend time with the Father, meditate on His word, spend time with the Holy Spirit. I know they are ALWAYS with us, but really acknowledge Him and TALK To Him. REST in Him, TRUST in Him. Relax. Let Him fill you until you are overflowing with His Life, and that living water and life splash on everyone around you, until they are soaked. :) https://youtube/watch?v=QfPnK6dv3pY
