So I live in a duplex, second floor. My entrance is thru the backyard. Ive always kept the backyard up (clean poop daily, cut grass, pull weeds, fight with vines, trim ginormous tree, etc). Thats the entrance to my home. Has to be kept up, right? Two lower units have the front yard to keep up. Per lease, may I point out. Heres the killer.. Its always one of the two lower units that refuses to maintain the front yard. The second usually picks up the slack. Well now, the new tenant has pretty much forced the other tenant out with the loud music, wild kids, belligerent outbursts and threats. Which Ive been subjected to as well. One tenant scared to be home, second tenant too drunk to care.. That leaves me. I was cutting the grass and maintaining the front yard during the vacancies downstairs. Now it seems as its expected of me. Both units rented. Been her 5yrs, ive cut the front hundreds of times, it seems. I just cut the grass in a 12 path on both sides of my walk way and curbside grass where we park. Should I have just swallowed my pride and cut it all? The new tenants have been there less then two Mos and has already threatened me, attempted to start physical fights, almost burned the house down (cooking while drunk and passed out), urinated outside in my entrance walkway, and has threatened to sue me and complain about my dogs. The front of my house will look like shit with knee high grass, just plz close ur eyes until u get to the backyard.. Rant over. #rentersproblems
