So I made a difficult decision today. The farrier.came out to finish hooves and was working with my horse panchi, and he said I may want to consider exchanging him for a calmer horse. You see pancho spooks at any little thing, and john said he really doubted that i/we could train it out of him. He didnt want me to get hurt if he spooked at simething. And I think he is probably right. I love that horse to pieces but if he isnt right for me then I nees to change. So I contacted the girl that we got the horses from and she said abdolutely. She happen to mention Rusty, a big lovable mustang we saw on our first trip. Rich loved him from the.beginning and I think the feeling was mutual. But we took the horses recommended. She has been looking for a.home for him ever.since. But I think because of his size hasnt been adopted. I jumped at it right.there and.then. He is being saddle broke right now and is.doing great so he comes to us on Monday. Its so bitter sweet but I truly believe the right decision. So Rich gets his Rusty and I take over Cuscir, which im totally fine with. The vet was here thus morning cause cisco had the runs and the.vet said he has sand in his tummy. And I believe that. So.he got a shot of anti-inflammatory and we have to give him wheat abran as a fiber which will help him get rid of the sand. Plus mats in their stalls to help prevent them from getting sand when cleaning up scraps on the.ground. holy cow, soooooo much.to learn. But we have great vet, a ypung woman, and farrier. So things are coming along. I know ill cry when Poncho leaves bit its the.right.thing to.do. Who ever said retirement is boring needs toe on up here. Never a dull moment.
