So I make myself coconut chutney today living in America without the old fashion stone to grind it ..i try to make it old school as much as I can I got a fresh coconut brake it up put it over the stove roast then I dig it out an wash it an hand grate it then I blend garlic, pepper, an bandhania(shado beni )mix it inside the grated coconut then I add salt I taste it to see if it have enough pepper an salt add if needed then I put it in a food processor (blend) an spin it good to look all mushy then I put it in a bowl an service. ...I didnt use chive or onion because I like to keep it little longer onion spoil it fast....u can put in freezer an keep it longer as well......hope my old school style work for u guys. ..chef tina....
