So. I managed a piece into POTE (yay!!!) the show is to have a lovely little book to go with it (also yay!!). Now the rocks come up out of the lake. They want a bio and artists statement (ick!!!). They want it by Aug. 5. So. These things really annoy me--on principle. I happen to believe the artist is completely irrelevant to the picture. I dont care what he/shes done by way of resume. Ever. I certainly dont think what Ive done is of any use to anyone. The artists statement is worse. I cant do one of these things while taking it seriously. Im sorely tempted to make up all sorts of gobbledy-gook--or write the thing in Klingon. Thing is--the good folks at the FCA putting this together might get a little miffed unless theyre fluent in Klingon. What to do...explaining performance art to people is so difficult... :)
