So, I met a woman named Sabrina, and sat outside with her for about an hour and a half after I got off work. She was up in Greeley but her family lives in Arvada and she was looking for a bus stop to take her there. She waited at a different bus stop for over 2 hours waiting for a bus that never came. Her cellphone had died and didnt have a charger. She was FREEZING... I saw her on the side of the street crying and I asked if she needed any help. She told me her story and I wanted to cry for her. No one, in the last 3 hours, had asked her if she needed any help, or even if she was okay. I sat with her outside in the cold and tried to get ahold of the Greeley-Evans Transit people but they were closed. She told me that it was no use, and then thanked me for what Id done for her. She told me she was just going to WALK to Arvada and then asked for directions to I-25. I wasnt going to let her walk anywhere. So I called the police and told them her situation and everything, I sat with her until they showed up and I gave her what little money I did have and the cops were nice enough to give her a courtesy ride from Greeley to Arvada. This woman was seriously bawling. It literally takes 3 minutes to call someone and a little compassion, guys... This amazing woman just needed someone to be there for her. Sometimes, people make me so upset. Im praying that she gets home safely.
