So I met an overenthusiastic BJP supporter today, who tried hard selling the strong govt idea. It got me thinking what is the worst case scenario that could happen? A coalition govt would form at the centre. Corruption could be extremely high, inflation could be out of control , crime rates will soar, women could continue to be insecure , all development work could stall and India could kiss goodbye to the regional power dream. Its a scary picture I tell you and it could probably push India back by quite a few years in the run. But, But... people have only started to raise their voices against injustice, they have just started showing the courage to take to the streets, issues like development have only just begun to overshadow issues like caste and religion. Maybe if the situation gets worse , people will begin to take matters into their own hands. Maybe they will start understanding the meaning and value of true democracy-rule by the people-. Maybe they would shun the age old dogmas and start fighting for some real issues, maybe the politician, the mafia, the business tycoon start fearing the common man... well what doesnt kill you makes you stronger..maybe,,,just maybe.......... on a completely different note, youve voted and posted your selfie with the inked finger. great ! but remember , your responsibility doesnt stop here. Democracy is a journey, not a destination.
