So I met with a client this afternoon to set up his new desktop - TopicsExpress

So I met with a client this afternoon to set up his new desktop computer and monitor. New monitor worked fine, turned on the new computer and the windows 8 screen comes on and comes up with Larry asking for Larrys password to log on. At that point I suspected the machine might not be new, but than thought well maybe it was a display model and someone configured it. So was just going to perform a factory reset, had started that when the client hands me a piece of paper from the new computer box that was an email print out from someone named Lawrence. The email was dated March of 2014, at that time I was like hell no and shut down the computer. The client called where he purchased it, and after a bit was speaking to a manager who said someone must have returned the machine (apparently they have a 15 day return policy) and that the place didnt reset the machine. Of course he claimed the machine was new, and that the client should just return it so they could wipe it and resell it as new. Last time I checked that would still make it a used machine, and even argued this point with said manager. I am beginning to think customer service is dead in this country.
