So I might have drank a little too much water while in flight to Atlanta, and as the plane was taxiing to our gate I had the realization I needed to pee and it would NOT wait. So I quickly shuffled to the back of the plane because I figured it would be forever before we got to the gate. As Im answering natures call I hear the pilot get on the loudspeaker and say All passengers should return to their seat while the seat belt light is on, anyone walking about the cabin please return to your seat as soon as possible. Oh no! He was talking about me! I tried to stop urinating but had to go so bad. I hurried up as best I could and started to wash my hands and hear: Were currently waiting on one passenger to return to his seat so that we may approach the gate. Please return to your seat immediately! I opened the door of the lavatory to the concentrated stares of 148 passengers looking over their shoulders at the misfit who was holding them up from the sweet release of deboarding. I shuffled back up the aisle saying Sorry, sorry, didnt mean to hold us up but the more annoyed faces I saw the angrier and more embarrassed I got. So instead of apologies I began to talk crap to every accusatory individual that made eye contact with me. Oh, my bad...Guess youve never had to piss before! You can go ahead and turn back around, its not gonna make me move any faster. As one would expect my barrage of insults didnt go very well. Do you know that feeling when you can feel someone staring at you? Multiply that by the total seat capacity of an MD 88 airplane and this is the feeling I got to experience for the next six minutes. But then, the doors open! Freedom! I grabbed my bags and quickly exited the plane to mumbled insults and displeased eyes. I may have not made any friends in our hour and sixteen minutes together, but its safe to say I left a lasting impression on flight DL1521.
