So I phoned Paua Rock on South Kaikoura road just along from Oaro and asked if we could get our packs dropped off there and Sunny says yes :) I applaud that word, yes. We came strolling up (as we do) and Sunny and Jenny are out on the deck enjoying the afternoon. We are offered a cold drink. Pip orders chippies and I inhaled most of them ;) Pippi and Maikara got to try Sonnys famous mussel pie. Sunny you are just that. We were blown away be your kindness and hospitality today. Pippi most, with your gift of koura (crayfish!!!) Gets her birthday week started with a storm! Thank you so much for feeding our wary bodies. For helping get our packs to the campground. For your warmth and inclusiveness. So wish we could come back for New Years! Food at Paua Rock is O for awesome! The beautiful Sunny and Jenny, worth moving to the area for. Blessed are we to have had this opportunity to meet you. Special thanks to Don Walker for his excellent insight in to his personal experiences of watching his environment deteriorate (favourite fishing spots, paua harvesting...) over just one generation. And for the beer :) got my shine on... Little meow is Tinker. I love animals at bussiness. Seems more like a home Gosh, falling asleep posting. Will finish posting tomorrow!!!
