So I posted yesterday that my Lyman Trade rifle acquired a new but much taller brother, A Pennsylvania long rifle. Well I got ta thinking...( I do that on occasion) Anyway I got to thinking I will now have to get a range rod for thee new addition to the family and as hes such a tall fellow I cant use my old one for Mr Lyman. Now that one cost me almost $30.00, I really didnt like the idea of spending another $30+ , cause ya know that when you add 10 inches to a ram rod that justifies an increase of $10-$20. Ya well if you look close you will notice i copied a second image in there.. Its that time of the year where they sell those driveway markers , Good solid 1/4 fiberglass rods to mark the end of the driveway ($2.50 at the dollar store) a 2 piece of brass stock and 30 min on the lathe and I have a 46 ramrod with a built in jag and a tapped hole in the end for attachments. This is what comes of being cheap I guess :) some will say Not period but as its home made and for the range.. shruggs My Pennsylvania is happy. :) Just thought I would share
