The snow fell around Hermione as she stood by the lake. It was so peaceful at this time of year, when all the children were home for the holidays. Harry and Ron hadnt woken yet, and Hermione didnt have the heart to wake them up - they had been up well into the night. No, she had thought, Let them sleep... She didnt hear the footsteps approaching, but something told her that he was right behind her. She could feel his hot breath on the back of her neck...
