So I pulled into the Loves in Sioux City to get the truck washed, - TopicsExpress

So I pulled into the Loves in Sioux City to get the truck washed, and this old guy in bib overalls was trying to walk a puppy in the grass. It looked like a tri-color Aussie, which got me me interested, since we have a one-year-old female of the same breed. He was having a hard time keeping from getting tangled in the leash because he kept sneezing. The puppy alternated between perking up at trucks going past in the lot and hiding behind his feet. I got out of the truck and walked over, asked if it was and Aussie. The old guy said yup, it sure was, and sneezed. I showed him a pic of Raine on my phone and said how Vic and I had tossed the idea of getting a male around. Well the old guy looked at me and sneezed again and asked if I wanted this one, as he was apparently allergic as hell to the little guy, his eyes all watery and his nose bright red and running like a faucet. He hadnt stopped sneezing since he picked the little guy up at his sisters in Rapid City. The pup came over when I crouched in the grass and licked my nose. The old dude allowed as how the pup came with a leash and a dish and a sack of feed. Long story short, Victoria Schultz, the old dude in the bibs is rethinking a birthday present for his grandson, and we are now the people of two tri-colored Australian shepherds. Youll get to meet the new guy Wednesday when I get back from frack hell, ND. While they were washing the truck, I thought, what a trip. The layers of meaning jumped out and smacked me in the head, and so I think thats the little guys name. That or Rufus...
