So I reduced my options today to get on the pony and ride it in some fashion, or give up and whine incessantly. I opted for the former, and took him to the school for a session focussing on anything we can, in fact, do. Not the best start, realising Id deleted ALL the music from my phone (meaning I listened instead to tales of Sam Vines kicking people in the seat of the trousers while schooling instead :p ) followed by Fergs cracking my knee off the gate while I tried to key in the code for access! But I shall try to dwell on the positives... Heres a video of me doing something I couldnt do 6 months ago... Spent a fair amount of time working on the canter - ensuring all the gear changes and circles were there without it going horrible as it did on Saturday, and a bit of time working on trot-canter-trot-canter incessantly which was all fine and dandy. A few simple changes and some trot HP to finish off (Fergs loves these) and Im feeling a lot more positive about schooling generally again. Its hard not to feel more positive about life with Sam Vines kicking people in their sensitive areas, if Im honest :p
