So, I rode Doc down to the Mundy Markets this morning to check out the beautiful pink and grey galah up for auction........took a while, Docs getting on but we had lots of time to discuss matters of concern to the animal family at Sunnyside Farm. Theres still a bit of annoyance that only Princess gets to go on tour. As much as I explain it, in as many ways as I can, I cant seem to get through the very clear principle that Virgin dont take horses. I get asked why not......Doc, you are just way too big.......Virgin are very lovely to musicians but they dont understand horses.............and no you wont fit in my suitcase......Ill keep trying..... Mundy Markets were pumping, Doc wandered off to investigate the quality of chaff on offer while I purchased a very bright looking beetroot chutney from my charming friend on the Riding for the disabled jam and chutney stall.....shes quite the treasure and always has a quiet smile of friendship..... Pigs for sale, sheep for sale.........and TWO pink and grey galahs!!.......one was hand reared and awfully animated and friendly, the other was an aviary reared bird and very shy, perhaps even scared a bit. I felt sorry for Mr shy bird, yes a male. I stayed with them for a while and whilst there overheard a number of people interested in buying these two.......they seemed sensible and nice so I feel a little more comfortable about their purchase.......fingers crossed. One cauliflower, beaut tomatoes, cauliflower pickle and the beetroot chutney..........whoops, forgot the toasted cheese and tomato sandwich, couldnt go the ham.......delicious!!...... On the return journey, Doc was contemplative and obviously thinking about things. As we turned the corner into Sunnyside Farm, he stopped and looked at me, quite purposefully and asked this question: If I cant go on the plane, why dont we ride to your next gig with EUROGLIDERS, should only take three or four days, Ive got the time!! Im still thinking about that one, not sure quite how to answer. Can you imagine!!!!........me and Doc riding all the way to Corowa.......with what would be a very grumpy because she prefers flying Princess sitting on the back, or on my shoulder........quite the thought........
