So I said I wanted to post a proper thank you this evening. Well here is my best attempt and I know it wont even come close to what all of you guys deserve. To our Birdies brilliant granny and granda in Malin Head, wed be lost without you. Youre brilliant and much more than you know. To All of our Family and friends who have helped , for your visits to our home, your phonecalls in the wee hours when we felt lower than low and for those of you who travelled big distances just to spend time with us and prop us up. Every hug , every laugh was a like a little bit of glue just holding us together. To everyone involved in all the fundraising and events that were organised by amazing people like Sinead McGowan and the McGowan family ,Michelle ODoherty,All of the members of Altan, Laghey Bowling Club, Laghey National school etc, Nichola McGranaghan and the asda bag pack brigade :) Danny McNulty,Lydia and Emma Kirk, You are amazing human beings, you should be proud of yourself everyday because people like you make the world a better brighter place to be. To Donegal Town Credit Union and the Donegal Golf Society, You absolutely blew us away with your kindness. Wonderful wonderful people. To our outstanding local community , Fr Seamus Gallagher, Joe Harley, Mary Coughlan, Noel Jordan , Raymond Jordan and actually the entire Jordan Family, Mary and Michael Thomas and each and every one of you . You make this little village and community the greatest place in the world. God bless all of you. To wonderful organisations like Aoibheanns Pink Tie and Jack and Jill. We know we couldnt have gotten this far without your help. Invaluable ,selfless and wonderful . We owe you so much. To our GP Dr Drumgoole and staff, our Pharmacist Joe Britton or PHN Sharon McGuinness , folks you have just always gone above and beyond. We think youre brilliant and having nothing but respect and admiration for you. To the Drs, Nurses and all of the staff at both Sligo and Crumlin Hospital. You made the unbearable bearable, you restored our optimism at every flagging moment and you were there when our baby needed you so much. We can never ever thank you enough for giving our little boy a chance at life and although it wasnt easy you got him this far and there are no words for how we feel about what you guys do. To all the special needs mums who have become some of the greatest friends anyone could wish to have. You girls are outstanding examples of dignity, selflessness and resilience. Love to all of you. To everyone who sent cards, prayers ,gifts from all over the world. These things will be cherished forever as reminders of beautiful wonderful humanity at its best. To Matt Britton , Niamh Towey and all of the media who have shared our little heroes story with so many people. You did a wonderful job , you really have done him proud. I know there are more people and please dont feel forgotten if I have failed to mention you. Trust me you have left an impression that will stay with us forever and has made such a positive impact on our lives. So I know this is a very long post, and I know that Birdie still has challenges to meet, but we just wanted to thank all of you properly and today seems like a good day to do it. With so much love and respect for all of you. Mary, Kevin and Family. xxxxx
