So I saw The Muppets: Most Wanted tonight. A damn good film, helped by the fact that I saw it in an almost-empty theatre filled with older couples. The film, like all Muppet productions, is incredibly self-referential and comes with a very screwball sense of humour. It literally addresses the flaws of the first film and wisely sidelines the human co-stars in favour of more Kermit, Fozzie Bear and Ms Piggie. The villain, Constantine, is also surprisingly hard-edge for a movie about felt creatures taking a comedy show around the world. On the topic of humans, keep an eye on the cameos. In addition to supporting turns from Tina Fey, Ty Burrell and Ricky Gervais, other faces appear - Christoph Waltz, Tom Hiddleston, James McAvoy, Stanley Tucci, Selma Hayek, Frank Langella, Chloe Moretz, Ray Liotta, Usher, and many more. ]
