So... I saw a meme someone posted, that referred to some 12 or 13 attacks on US Consulates, Embassies, and diplomatic offices, resulting in over 100 dead, during President Bushs term. Some FACTS: 1. No Ambassador has died in the line of duty since 1979, in Iran, until Ambassador Chris Stevens – a man who was tortured and raped, and his dead body drug through the streets, something that didn’t happen in any other attack. 2. The Benghazi Embassy asked for more protection and Did. Not. Get. It. They asked for help during the firestorm and It. Was. Not. Sent. when they needed it. The attacks *on the Embassy itself* lasted 7 hours With. No. Help. or intervention from the US Government, because reinforcements were told to stand down. 3. Since that time, there have been at least two Flag Officers, one a General, one an Admiral, forced to resign, two flag officers that were ready to defy orders from the State Department, and send in assistance. 4. None of the attacks during Bushs tenure was followed up immediately by the president flying to Las Vegas for a fundraiser or the Secretary of State and the rest of the president’s administration lying to the public, calling the attacks a spontaneous reaction from some anti-Islamic you tube video’. 5. And none of the attacks during the Bush administration happened, not only on the anniversary of 9/11, but so close to the election that it had to be spun so as to protect the president’s reelection chances. The Ambassador in an Embassy represents the State Department and the President of the United States. He or she is the highest ranking US official on foreign soil. An assassination of an Ambassador does not deserve to be covered up or blamed on a video, and not responded to except with lies and evasions. Its disgusting and insulting to our intelligence. You can spin your own story, but you cant have your own facts.
