So, I saw an opportunity to Pay it Forward at Wal-Mart today. Waiting in one of the 3 ( of 20 ) open lines, i got behind a woman with 2 children who had WIC vouchers. There was some dispute with her Motts Applesauce,that clearly had a WIC APPROVED label but would not scan. After what seemed like a lifetime, a manager was called, the applesauce was being denied and this poor woman started to tear up. I stepped forward, in an effort to speed things up, and offered to pay for her applesauce. It was then, that the 2 shoppers behind me spoke up and said,they too had the same applesauce and wanted to know if I would pay for theirs as well. Feeling trapped in this Applesauce Hell and getting flustered, I,very loudly, said Is There ANYONE ELSE here who needs their applesauce paid for?. I left Wal-Mart with a receipt for 4 chicken breasts, 3 lemons and 6 applesauces. Lesson I learned today...Dont EVER say anything like that in a Wal-Mart.
