So I saw this video here on FB and it made me think. How cool would it be to be in the process of making a new and better tanker? As a former Crew Chief there are a few things I can think of that I would suggest as changes. Different method for draining the sumps. All tanks would have high volume electric transfer pump capability. All avionics would feed into a single computer designed to determine what box was at fault and there for make it a matter of just swapping a black box (Something along the lines of todays cars. Hook to a tester and get a code telling you what requires replacement.) This would make it more repair friendly to crew chiefs reducing the need for avionic specialist support.
