So I stopped by a favorite campaign headquarters to make a donation (office/color irrelevant). During the conversation they talked about a night they have for women to volunteer. As it happens, one of the staffers had a bottle of wine that she happened to be carrying for that event. I happened to mention that I was an amateur winemaker and would be happy to donate a few bottles of wine with customized labels. Well, as fantasy sports announcers say The crowd went wild! (OK, so there were only 4-5 of them, but you know what I mean.) Last week I got to witness bidding on some wine I had donated to another organization, knowing that the funds raised would help kids with disabilities. This is just one of the reasons that I love making wine. Life is good.
