So I thought I would share something very cool with you all today. Something that eloquently mixes two of my favorite things together. Tattoos and Painting. Red Arbor, LLC Is a new husband & wife run business located in the beautiful Sioux Falls, South Dakota. (Those who know me, know that South Dakota is one of my favorite places, so I guess you could say this shop mixes 3 of my favorite things) This is a custom shop where you can find the beautiful artwork of Tawni, and get inked by her equally gifted husband Cory. I have been a fan and following Tawnis artwork for a couple years now, and through her art page I often saw her brag about her talented husband which in turn led me to be a big fan of his as well. The artistic talent found in this husband and wife team is scary! And if following their Art dream didnt keep them busy enough Tawni has a son and both her and her husband are in the armed services. I can tell you, one of the things I am looking forward to when we move to Wyoming next year is getting to be right next door to South Dakota and you can bet your ass when we make that trip to SD, Red Arbor LLC will be on the list of places to go. Please take a minute, check out their Facebook page and show them support from the Inked Up Mama family. Here is a little bit more about Red Arbor, in their own words. I stole this from the Red Arbor Facebook page, and they certainly can tell you what they are about a lot better than I can! Red Arbor, LLC is the husband - wife artist team with a collective art education and experience of over 20 years. Cory Claussen is a professional, award winning tattoo artist. His wife Tawni is a talented visual artist specializing in oil painting. Our goal is to maximize the experience of tattoos and paintings by skillfully designing work that embraces principles built on visual fine arts. Tattoo clientele receive unrushed consultation to ensure the art permanently placed on their skin is done so in a manner that enhances the body, and with consideration of potential future ink intentions. Likewise, clients interested in commissioned paintings enjoy design planning certain to amplify the beauty of their wall space. Red Arbor prioritizes the integrity of customer service and leaves clients with art that is both meaningful and proud to be shown. Red Arbor is welcoming to all; enjoyable to veterans of ink, relaxing to the possibly anxious first-timers and sure to change the stereotype of tattoo shops. As animal lovers and advocates of philanthropy, Tawni launched The Painted Paws Project in spring 2014 which channels charitable proceeds to local animal welfare nonprofits via commissioned pet portrait paintings by Tawni and pet tattoos by Cory. Follow The Painted Paws Project on facebook for complete portfolio activity.
